As the Japan Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and growing our successful business in the country. Working closely with the sales leadership team, you will drive revenue growth, build key customer and partner relationships, and set the foundation for long-term success in Japan.

Location and Language Requirements: Based in Japan and fluent in both Japanese and English


 Job Purpose: 

  • Grow revenue in Japan by prospecting, developing pipeline and managing the full sale cycles within new logo accounts and expanding business relationships within existing accounts. 
  • Hunt for new logo accounts by organizing and executing proactive outreach and managing full sales cycles 
  • Build out and execute cross-functional strategic account plans for key accounts 
  • Coordinate with existing SDR teams and channel partners to augment reach, increase demand generation, and drive new business production 
  • Provide direction to and collaborate with Marketing to build and execute plans and strategies focused on qualified pipeline creation 
  • Expand relationships within existing accounts, identifying and executing upsell and cross-sell opportunities 
  • In collaboration with the Customer Success team drive user engagement with products, resolve customer complaints and issues, and escalate internally when necessary 
  • Identify and support the recruitment and onboarding of new channel partners in Japan 
  • Keep management informed by submitting weekly sales forecasts and activity summaries, results reports, and quarterly territory analysis and reviews 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM tools such as Salesforce and Clari 
  • Monitor and gather market intelligence on pricing, products, and competitive trends 
  • Recommend product, service, and policy changes based on market feedback and developments 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of solutions and the broader cybersecurity industry 
  • Pull in resources from supporting functions (Pre-sales, Product, etc.) to successfully execute deals and address customer needs

Required Skills and Education: 

  • 5-8 years of sales experience, preferably selling data, software, or technology products (SaaS experience strongly preferred) 
  • Previous experience in risk management, GRC, threat intelligence, or cybersecurity is highly desirable 
  • Strong understanding of decision-making and buying processes within large enterprises 
  • Proven success in managing stakeholders and selling to "C-Level" executives 
  • Must have strong consultative and solution-selling skills 
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas and managing complex sales cycles 
  • Research and analysis skills to understand key accounts, assess opportunities, and position solutions effectively 
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 
  • Practices effective, ongoing customer relationship management techniques 
  • Ability to submit accurate and timely reports on forecasts, pipelines, and sales progress 
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites across Japan 
  • Results-driven and able to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team
